  • Recommendation

    That the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held June 7, 2022, be adopted as circulated.

  • Recommendation

    That the following bylaws be adopted:

    “Mail Ballot Voting Procedures Bylaw 2022, No. 5183"; and,

    "Building Maintenance and Occupancy Standards Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2022, No. 5203".

  • Recommendation

    That Council receive the "Preventing Plastic and Single-Use Waste in B.C." report for information; and further, that Staff be directed to submit feedback on the Preventing Single-Use and Plastic Waste Intentions Paper, as contained within the Staff Report dated June 10, 2022, to the Province.

  • Recommendation

    That Council award the Tender for the "2022 Instream Works" to Timbro Contracting Ltd., in the amount of $822,557.49 (plus applicable taxes); and further, that the Mayor and Corporate Officer be authorized to sign any necessary documentation. 

  • Recommendation

    That Council approve the "License of Occupation Agreement" between the City of Chilliwack and the Chilliwack and District Agricultural Society for the occupation of Heritage Park, for a period of five years, from March 1, 2022 to February 28, 2027; and further, that the Mayor and Corporate Officer be authorized to sign any necessary documentation.

    That "Sanitary Sewer System Regulation Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2022, No. 5220" be given first and second reading.

    That Council receive the "2021 Annual Municipal Report" for information.

    That Council receive the "2021 Schedule of Remuneration and Expenses" for Elected Officials for information.

  • Recommendation

    That Policy Directive No. A-20 "Council Code of Conduct" be approved.

    That "Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2022, No. 5218", which proposes to rezone property located at 46106 Riverside Drive, from an R1-A (Urban Residential) Zone to an R4 (Low Density Multi-Unit Residential) Zone, be given first and second reading; and further, that a Public Hearing be called for July 5, 2022.  (RZ001529)

    That "Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2022, No. 5219", which proposes to rezone property located at 46193 Second Avenue, from an R1-A (Urban Residential) Zone to an R1-C (Urban Infill) Zone, be given first and second reading; and further, that a Public Hearing be called for July 5, 2022.  (RZ001550)

    That "Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw 2022, No. 5221", which proposes to rezone property located at 46852 First Avenue from an R1-A (Urban Residential) Zone to an R3 (Small Lot Residential) Zone, be given first and second reading; and further, that a Public Hearing be called for July 5, 2022.  (RZ001544)

  • Recommendation

    That Council support the Agricultural and Rural Advisory Committee recommendation regarding vertical farming operations as a farm use; and further, that Council direct Staff to review and prepare development standards to be incorporated within "Zoning Bylaw 2020, No. 5000".
